For Dry January, we interviewed Viviane Dassonville, nutrition, micronutrition, phytonutrition & full health advisor about the benefits of this treatment !
Can you introduce yourself ?
My name is Viviane Dassonville, I am a nutrition and micronutrition advisor.
Do you consume alcohol ? How much ?
Alcohol for me is something very festive and social ! When I consume it, it's mostly with friends, family, or from time to time for a date with my sweetheart.
What are the benefits of a month of Dry January ?
Dry January allows you to detoxify your body and do a “reset”. It's excellent for the liver, it helps cleanse it and eliminate all the toxins especially eliminated after parties and excesses !

To discover all the benefits of a month without alcohol, read our article here .
Do you encourage patients to do one ?
Absolutely ! Especially after winter ! Besides, I launched a January detox for all my clients.
What would be your advice for having a successful dry January and keeping it going ?
First, setting a framework for yourself and recognizing that it will do you a lot of good. Then prepare your detox carefully, find out about the benefits and keep this objective in mind, knowing what the desired effects are. For Dry, it's about preparing your body for the new year, starting off on the right foot, and also improving sleep quality !
And only in January or do you repeat the Dry January exercise from time to time during the rest of the year ?
It's a very good exercise at each new season.
When you're not drinking alcohol, what do you drink for an aperitif ?
I really like soft drinks, non-alcoholic drinks, especially mocktails, for example a virgin mojito, but always as little sweet as possible.
Do you have any recipes that you particularly like for a fun and well-being aperitif ?
I like aperitifs with raw vegetables, olives, hummus, tzatzíki. I pair them with very fresh, lemony and mint drinks.
The best wellness advice we've given you ?
To trust my body !
The best advice you could give ?
To trust your body ! He knows the path to its healing and well-being.
A place where you would like to enjoy a glass of OSCO ?
In my bathtub !
Who would you like to have a drink with ?
With my sweetheart, always.
What quality do you appreciate most in someone ?
Honesty and kindness !
The final word ?
Trust yourself. Well-being is something that can be part of our social life, it requires above all conviviality. Treat yourself, continue sharing moments with your friends. And even if you are in Dry January… Cheers !
